The River Crier was first published in 1996, Maureen Clayton being the editor. Mo oversaw the first seven issues before Derek Lidington took over the reins in the Spring of 2000. Derek produced the first colour magazine with issue number eight and went on to print another 21 issues up till number 28 in the Spring of 2005.
With Derek unable to continue in the post, Terry Riley stepped up to fill in and has edited the magazine ever since in tandem with producing and editng our website. Twelve more issues took us coveniently to number 40 in our 40th anniversary year 2008, when the committee decided to change the way we communicated with our members.
